Edwin happy with Utd deal

07 January 2008 - 17:58

Edwin van der Sar has signed a one-year extension to his Manchester United contract and has spoken of his happiness and delight at agreeing the deal despite Thomas Kuszczak and Ben Foster both pushing the Man Utd stopper to a place in the first team.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The goalkeeper told MUTV, "I'm delighted to have agreed a new deal.

"As we did last year, we said we'd evaluate things in December and both parties were very happy with things so there was no reason for me to quit.

"I'm still feeling very good, and with the way the team plays and everything about the club, it's a delight to be here."
