Brad Guzan to Arsenal?

Brad Guzan to Arsenal?

07 January 2008 - 18:06

Chivas USA goalkeeper Brad Guzan could be set for a shock move to Arsenal after the club's president admitted that 'several European sides' were interested in the keeper. Celtic, Olympiakos and Everton are also interested in the player.

  • Chelsea defender back in training ahead of Man Utd game
  • Chelsea keen on re-signing former graduate
  • Chivas USA President Shawn Hunter confirmed on Friday that the team has received offers from multiple clubs in Europe for Brad Guzan; the impressive young keeper who was voted goalkeeper of the year in the MLS last season.

Guzan, 24, is in the final year of a three-year contract he signed after getting drafted. Hunter said he has talked to Guzan's agent about a contract extension, but that Chivas hasn't made any offers yet.

Several American keepers have made the big time in the Premiership in the past, including Brad Friedel, Kasey Keller and Tim Howard; and Guzan's potential £3 million transfer could add to that list.
