Arsenal will make a substantial offer for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain in January, according to reports.
The Argentina international has been long linked with a move to the Gunners.
It had been recently speculated that the FA Cup holders may look to lodge an offer for Higuain before the transfer deadline.
However, The Star reports that Arsene Wenger's side will wait until the New Year before making a bid, as they are unwilling to match Napoli's valuation of £58m for Higuain this summer.
Higuain joined the Naples outfit from Real Madrid in 2013.
