West Bromwich Albion have captured the services of defender Jonny Evans from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.
The Northern Ireland international was deemed surplus to requirements at United, and was expected to be shipped to a new club in the transfer window.
Evans has now put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Baggies following a successful medical test on Friday evening.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis confirmed the deal, he said :"This is a great signing for the club. Jonny brings a lot of experience and will be a big player for us - he's a player I've been watching for some time. We are delighted to have him on board."
The 27-year-old made 198 appearances for United having graduated from the youth academy.
