  • The Northern Ireland international was deemed surplus to requirements at United, and was expected to be shipped to a new club in the transfer window.

Evans has now put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Baggies following a successful medical test on Friday evening.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis confirmed the deal, he said :"This is a great signing for the club. Jonny brings a lot of experience and will be a big player for us - he's a player I've been watching for some time. We are delighted to have him on board."

The 27-year-old made 198 appearances for United having graduated from the youth academy.
