Dutch manager Louis van Gaal is eager to sign up a new contract at Manchester United, according to reports.
The 64-year-old came in as United boss last year following a dismal campaign under David Moyes during the 2013/14 season.
Van Gaal has since then guided the club back to the Champions League, and looks set to improve on last season's fourth place finish in the Premier League.
The Star now understands that the former Netherlands head coach is keen on an extension to his current contract which expires in the summer of 2017.
United are currently second in the league standings with 10 points.
