Chelsea opt against permanent Falcao deal

04 October 2015 - 13:18

Chelsea have decided against signing flop striker Radamel Falcao on a permanent basis, The Mirror reveals.

  • Chelsea winger suffers head injury vs Nottingham Forest
  • Man Utd star preparing farewell video ahead of transfer
  • The Colombian international had a dismal loan spell with Manchester United last term, and many expected him to make his way back to parent club AS Monaco.

However, Blues boss Jose Mourinho wanted Falcao to prove his doubters wrong and offered him a temporary switch back to the Premier League.

The Mirror understands that the West London side have no interest in a permanent deal for the 29-year-old, who has scored a solitary goal in all competitions for the club this term.

Falcao is likely to drop back to the bench with star striker Diego Costa set to return from his ban after the international break.
