Manchester United may go head to head with Valencia in the pursuit of Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia, according to reports.
The 29-year-old is thought to seeking a new challenge in January, having seen his side fail to qualify for the Champions League group stages.
Biglia had been linked with a switch to Old Trafford in the summer, but a deal never materialized as United were more focused on landing young prodigy Anthony Martial from AS Monaco.
Italian publication Tempo understands that United would have to fight it out with Spanish side Valencia, who are also part of Europe's elite competition.
The Argentina international joined the Capital outfit from Anderlecht in 2013.
