Dortmund seal Lehmann deal

Dortmund seal Lehmann deal

09 January 2008 - 20:14

Borussia Dortmund are set to complete the move for Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann tomorrow. The German international has long been linked with a move away from the club, and Arsene Wenger has let him go despite wanting to hang on to his number 2.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • "All things between us and Lehmann have now been agreed and we are in constant contact," revealed Dortmund manager Michael Zorc to Bild.

The move will end Lehmann's spell as second-choice keeper at Arsenal after he lost his place to Manuel Almunia.

Arsene Wenger was keen to keep hold of the German, but the player is now set to end his Arsenal career.
