Sunderland want Charlie Austin

11 November 2015 - 12:03

Premier League strugglers Sunderland are reportedly eyeing a move for Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin in January.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The 26-year-old had been tipped to make a move back to the top tier over the summer, but he rebuffed the chance as a sign of commitment to the West London outfit.

However, The Mail claims that Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce is looking to bring the talented marksman to Wearside during the next transfer window.

It is added that the 61-year-old has been provided with a &pound20m kitty to boost things up for the second half of the campaign.

Sunderland are currently 19th in the league standings with just six points.
