However, the West London side have struggled in the Championship, and this has led to suggestions that Austin may seek a fresh challenge in the New Year.

According to The Mail, the Villans are prepared to go all out to land the talented attacker as they seek to escape the relegation battle in the second half of the campaign.

Villa are currently rockbottom of the Premier League with five points.
