Manchester United are reportedly planning to break the transfer record to land Barcelona star Neymar.
The Red Devils were said to be interested in the Brazil international over the summer, but the Catalan giants were never keen on his sale.
Spanish outlet Fichajes now claims United boss Louis van Gaal has a £200m to spend on top talents in January.
The report adds that the Dutchman is ready to spend a major chunk of the transfer fee to acquire the services of Neymar despite being linked with Real Madrid duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in recent months.
However, Neymar is unlikely to consider a move to England as he seeks to earn a legendary status at Camp Nou.
The 23-year-old currently has a £143.9m release clause in his contract.
