Southampton preparing for Wanyama exit?

10 December 2015 - 17:15

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is keen on signing Porto midfielder Giannelli Imbula amid speculation over the future of Victor Wanyama.

  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?
  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?

  • Wanyama was the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur over the summer, but the Saints were not keen on his sale.

However, the 24-year-old is said to be assessing his options for the New Year, with Arsenal among the top sides interested in his services.

According to The Mirror, Koeman is likely to make an offer for French enforcer Imbula, should Wanyama decide to seek fresh pastures elsewhere.

Wanyama has made 13 league appearances for the Saints this term.
