Under-pressure Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has reportedly added Benfica youngster Goncalo Guedes to his list of targets for the New Year.
The Red Devils have found goals hard to come in recent months, and this has affected their league form.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, 19-year-old Guedes has been identified as a potential target to ease the goal-scoring burdens at Old Trafford.
It is added that Van Gaal wants to provide more competition to summer signing Anthony Martial, who has lost his mojo in recent months.
United are currently fifth in the Premier League with 29 points.
