The 20-year-old was shipped out to BVB on a season-long loan in the summer, in spite of impressing during the opening stages of the campaign.
Since then, he has struggled to affirm a place at Signal Iduna Park with manager Thomas Tuchel reluctant to offer him with a regular role in the first-team.
Widespread reports now confirm that the talented winger will return to the Mancunian giants after BVB agreed to cancel his loan contract.
Januzaj has made 60 appearances for United till date.
