Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a £12m deal for Mainz hotshot Yoshinori Muto.
The Japan international joined Mainz from FC Tokyo over the summer, and has since then put up a great showing in the Bundesliga.
United are said to have been impressed by the player's progress in Germany, and are now set to wrap up a £12m transfer for the talented striker, The Mirror claims.
Muto, who is dubbed 'the Japanese Messi', has scored seven league goals for his club this campaign.
The 23-year-old is currently contracted at Mainz until the summer of 2019.
