Spanish full-back Nacho Monreal has ended speculation over his future by inking a new long-term deal with Arsenal.
The 29-year-old had been the subject of transfer speculation in the summer, with Athletic Bilbao interested in his services.
Since then, he has put up a good show in a Gunners shirt, and this has urged the club to offer him with a contract extension.
Monreal has now revealed that his relationship with manager Arsene Wenger played a huge role in his decision to remain at the Emirates.
"I met the boss (Arsene Wenger) three years ago and I have a really good relationship with him and I'm really happy with him. For these reasons I extended my contract," he told the club's official website.
The length of the contract has yet to be disclosed.
