AS Roma are close to sealing a temporary move for AC Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy.
The Italy international had joined AS Monaco on a season-long loan over the summer after he found first-team chances hard to come by at the Rossoneri.
However, his spell at Monaco was not much different, and he opted to return to his parent side in the New Year.
Sky Sport Italia now understands that the Giallorossi will seek to land the player's services on an initial loan deal with an obligation to a £10m permanent switch next summer.
Roma are currently fifth in the Serie A.
