Senegalese midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate is close to sealing a new deal at West Ham United.

The 26-year-old joined the Hammers from Belgian side Anderlecht in 2014, and has since the played a pivotal role in the club's midfield.

Kouyate is said to have attracted interest from several clubs in recent months, and according to The Mirror, the Hammers are close to tying the player to a fresh contract.

It is added that Kouyate will join fellow teammate Dimitri Payet as one of the highest earners at the club.

Slaven Bilic's side are currently seventh in the league standings following a 2-2 draw against Norwich City at Carrow Road.
