Manchester United flop Victor Valdes is eager to link up with Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon at the end of the season.
The Spain international has been tipped to seek a fresh challenge from United once his contract expires in June.
Recent speculation had suggested that the former Barcelona star could link up with Manchester City once Pep Guardiola takes over the managerial reigns in the summer.
However, The Record suggests that the 34-year-old is ready to snub the Citizens for a move to Primeira Liga with Sporting.
Valdes is currently plying his trade at Belgian club Standard Liège on a short-term loan deal.
