France international Lassana Diarra could link up with Manchester United, should Jose Mourinho take over at the helm. The Portuguese head coach has been tipped to replace Louis van Gaal as the next manager this summer.

Diarra, 31, currently plys his trade with Marseille after leaving Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow on a free last summer.

Mourinho has been strongly linked with the United job in recent months, and according to Le 10 Sport, the \'Special One\' will seek to bring in Diarra, if he is to take charge of United at the end of the season.

Diarra spent two seasons at Chelsea between 2005 and 2007 before he opted for greener pastures elsewhere.
