Manchester United are set to pay big for highly-rated Benfica youngster Renato Sanches. The 18-year-old midfielder has been the talk in Portugal since his debut for the Eagles earlier in the campaign.
The Red Devils have been keeping a close eye on the young playmaker, who is said to have all the ingredients to make himself a big time star in years to come.
Portuguese daily A Bola claims that the Mancunian giants are ready to make their move for the teenager following weeks of negotiations with the Primeira Liga outfit.
It is added that the club are willing to pay a fee of around £40m, which is about £12m less than the player's escape clause.
Sanches recently made his national team debut with Portugal following his impressive showing in the domestic league.
