Man City have been given a stern warning by Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinze Rummenigge in their attempt to sign the Bayern striker.
"Our next manager Jurgen Klinsmann has given us a list of players that will be part of his project, and Podolski's name is included," said Rummenigge.
"City are one of the clubs interested but for us this file is closed."
