Arsenal are reportedly considering the position of Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski. The Poland international is thought to be mulling over a fresh challenge in a new league.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso

  • Lewandowski, 27, joined the Bavarian giants from rivals Borussia Dortmund in 2014, and has since then been a potent force in the club's frontline.

The Mirror says the Gunners are keeping a close track on the player's developments after manager Arsene Wenger was promised a &pound150m transfer kitty to spend on recruits this summer.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid will be favourites to land Lewandowski's signature given the excellent crop of players in their first-team setup.

The talented striker has netted 38 goals in all competitions for Bayern this term.
