Jose Mourinho agrees terms over Man Utd deal

25 May 2016 - 06:33

Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is set to become Manchester United's next manager after he agreed personal terms over a three-year contract.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • The Red Devils' hierarchy are known to have held discussions with the 53-year-old's representatives following the dismissal of Louis van Gaal from the head coach position.

Van Gaal was relieved from his duties on Monday as the club's FA Cup triumph was not enough to lift the gloom on their failure to attain a top-four finish to the league season.

Mourinho has been strongly linked with the Old Trafford job since his Chelsea sacking in December, and according to Sky Sports News, the three-time Premier League winner has agreed terms over a three-year deal with image rights being the only issue yet to be solved.

The 'Special One' currently has a dealership with Jaguar, and this could bring a conflict with United's major sponsors with Chevrolet.

United will make a formal announcement over the deal in the next 48 hours.
