Arsenal turn focus to Serie A defender

26 May 2016 - 05:21

Arsenal will look to continue their transfer business with a move for Chelsea target and Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly. The Senegalese international has developed his game in the Serie A and this has apparently caught the eye of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

  • The Gunners have shown their intent to bolster their side this summer having already wrapped up a long-term agreement for Borussia Monchengladbach skipper Granit Xhaka.

According to The Telegraph, the North London giants will intensify their search for a new centre-back with Koulibaly being the leading candidate on their shortlist.

Koulibaly, 24, is open to joining a top European club in the summer only if it guarantees Champions League football next season.

The French-born footballer is currently valued at around £20m.
