Man Utd poised to make big-money offer for Saul Niguez

Manchester United could start off their spending spree with a mega deal for highly-rated Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez. The Spaniard has been in stunning form for Atleti over the past year and this has recently seen him extend his contract until the summer of 2021.

Niguez, 21, has shown his ability to impress at the big stage having scored a sublime solo effort against Bayern Munich during the Champions League semi-finals.

According to The Mail, United could be the team to watch in the transfer window with future boss Jose Mourinho known for his big spending before the start of the season.

It is also understood that the Mancunian giants are willing to match Saul's escape clause which has been upped from £34m from £54m when he recently inked his extension.

Premier League giants Chelsea and Arsenal have been previously linked with the Spanish Under-21 footballer.
