Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid are set to make a move to re-sign Diego Costa from Chelsea this summer.
Manager Diego Simeone is presently considering his Atleti future after losing the Champions League final to rivals Real Madrid for the second time in three seasons.
According to The Star, the 46-year-old could stay put at the club, should he receive the club's backing to spend big in the summer transfer window.
Former player Costa remains Simeone's top priority in the transfer market given his excellent contribution towards Atleti's success.
Nevertheless, the La Liga giants might have a tough task luring the player after he received assurances of playing a huge role under new boss Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge next season.
Costa amassed 64 goals in 135 appearances for Atleti before he moved on to Chelsea in 2014.
