Man Utd to trigger N'Golo Kante release clause

12 June 2016 - 06:33

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has requested the club's hierarchy to activate the release clause of Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante. The France international played a key role in the Foxes' midfield as they went on to lift their first-ever league title last season.

  • A report from Metro says the Special One is eager to have the 25-year-old at Old Trafford as he bids to rebuild his midfield ahead of the new campaign.

Kante, who is currently on international duty, made the most interceptions in the top flight following his move from Caen last summer.

The midfielder provided the assist that led to Dimitri Payet's stunning winner for Les Bleus against Romania in the Euro 2016 opener.
