English champions Leicester City have made a formal enquiry to sign Sevilla centre-back Adil Rami this summer. The Frenchman had a good season with the Europa League champions and this has earned him a place with his national side for Euro 2016.
The Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri has set his sights on signing a new central defender with lead pairing Robert Huth and Wes Morgan likely to find things hard due to the high intensity of Champions League football.
According to The Sun, the East Midlands side are looking for a bargain with Rami, who has transformed his career since his move from AC Milan.
The 30-year-old is currently valued at around £5m, and his addition could well provide an added boost to the Foxes ahead of their European challenge next season.
Rami featured for Les Bleus as they triumped Romania in the Euro 2016 opener.
