Manchester United are to table a huge 100 million euro bid for Paris St Germain and Italy international midfielder Marco Verratti. The defensive midfielder is one of Europe's hottest properties.

Jose Mourinho is known to be a huge fan of Verratti and is ready to smash the club's transfer record to bring in a long term replacement for Michael Carrick.

Man Utd have a reported 250 millon euro transfer budget to spend on new players this summer and Jose Mourinho is expected to sell at least four players to bring in a transfer fund of about 35 million extra euros.

PSG are to try their best to shun all transfer bids for Verratti but are rumoured to have already admitted failure in their attempts to keep the midfielder.
