Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has ordered the club's hierarchy to bring in Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain this summer. The Argentine is also a transfer target for Chelsea and Manchester United.
Simeone is believed to have remained at Atleti after the club promised to bring in a top-class striker to their ranks.
According to Spanish source Fichajes, Higuain is the priority target for the Atleti boss, and an offer is likely to be made in the coming weeks for the player's signature.
The 28-year-old had a top season with Napoli as he broke the all-time scoring for a single Serie A campaign - 36 goals in just 35 appearances.
Higuain is rated in excess of £50m.
