Barcelona are looking to pursue the signature of Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian. The 26-year-old is deemed surplus to requirements under new boss Jose Mourinho.
Darmian joined the Mancunian giants from Torino last summer and had a good start to his Premier League campaign.
However, as a few months went by, the pace of the game caught up with him, and this dented his chances of earning a regular role in the back end of last season.
The Star says the Catalan giants are weighing up a £16m bid for the Italian star as they regard him as the natural heir to Dani Alves, who left Camp Nou for Juventus this month.
Darmian, who has the ability to play across the defence, appeared in 38 games for United during the previous campaign.
