  • Allen, the former Swansea City star, has also been monitored by foreign teams including Valencia and French side Marseille; however it is West Ham who will make the first concrete bid for the defensive midfielder.

Allen has indicated that he is open to offers and will only transfer away from Liverpool if a club can significantly increase his salary as the Welshman is said to be unhappy with his current deal at Anfield.

West Ham will move into the Olympic Stadium at the start of next season and are known to be ready to spend significant amounts of money to revamp their squad for the upcoming campaign.
