Michail Antonio has signed a fresh contract to keep him at West Ham United until the summer of 2020. The 26-year-old played a key role in the Hammers setup last term as they went to attain Europa League qualification.

  • Antonio started the previous season in slow fashion with manager Slaven Bilic reluctant to offer him a regular start. But with injuries affecting several of the first-team players, the winger got his chance to impress, netting nine goals through the campaign.

"I am delighted to have signed a new contract. I am happy that the manager and the chairman have showed their belief in me to give me a new deal," he told the club's official website.

"I have always believed in my own ability and when I am given the opportunity I will take it and hopefully I have showed that."

The talented attacker joined the Hammers from Nottingham Forest for £7m last summer.
