Michail Antonio pens West Ham extension
Michail Antonio has signed a fresh contract to keep him at West Ham United until the summer of 2020. The 26-year-old played a key role in the Hammers setup last term as they went to attain Europa League qualification.
Antonio started the previous season in slow fashion with manager Slaven Bilic reluctant to offer him a regular start. But with injuries affecting several of the first-team players, the winger got his chance to impress, netting nine goals through the campaign.
"I am delighted to have signed a new contract. I am happy that the manager and the chairman have showed their belief in me to give me a new deal," he told the club's official website.
"I have always believed in my own ability and when I am given the opportunity I will take it and hopefully I have showed that."
The talented attacker joined the Hammers from Nottingham Forest for £7m last summer.
