According to Sky Sports News, the Senegal international is set to quits on his Hammers career with the club yet to give on their pursuit for a high-profile signing.

The East London outfit have previously failed in their attempts to sign Michy Batshuayi and Alexandre Lacazette, and this is thought to have unsettled the 26-year-old.

League rivals Sunderland are expected to come up with a fresh approach for Sakho having had an &pound11m bid rebuffed last month.

Sakho has netted 19 goals in 49 outings for the Hammers since his debut in 2014.
