 Klopp Looking to Strengthen Defence

Klopp Looking to Strengthen Defence

03 August 2016 - 23:27

It's not rocket science that Liverpool need to strengthen their back line for the coming season but in all honesty it's getting really frustrating that the Reds are unable to lure a half decent left back. When you see a player of unknown quantity in Ben Chilwell opting to stay at Leicester rather than sign for Klopp then that's when the frustration really kicks in.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Martin Keown praises complete Arsenal star after Bournemouth win

  • On a lighter note The Anfield club seem to be finally making a move, but the question is who's it going to be? According to the Guardian, Klopp could well be back in for Germany left back Jonas Hector. yet again! "Yes I know, this is exhausting, the same names the same faces, but with Alberto Moreno's injury and Liverpools home grown Jon Flanagan joining burnley on loan, then Liverpool clearly need reinforcements"

La Gazzetta dello sport claims that the Merseyside Giants have tabled a bid in the region of £16m for the Italy full back. This would be a coup for the Reds, considering he's an established full international at only 23 years of age and can play either left or right back, which would be handy if there's problems for Clyne during the season. Time is running out to sign a defender as we are close to kick off, but whether it's one of these two or someone else, Who would you want as your left back next season?
