Chelsea have reportedly offered Cesc Fabregas in a straight exchange deal for Marcelo Brozovic. The Croatian is free to leave Inter Milan for a club overseas this summer.
The 22-year-old penned a long-term contract with the Nerazzurri this summer after he impressed in his 18-month loan from Dinamo Zagreb.
Italian source Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Blues have placed Fabregas in a potential deal which could see Brozovic head to Stamford Bridge this month.
Fabregas has struggled to earn any playing time under Antonio Conte with the Italian in favour a more robust midfielder in his ranks.
On the other hand, Inter are on the look out for a player of Fabregas' calibre, and they could be tempted to accept the Blues' offer before Wednesday's transfer deadline.
Brozovic has also attracted interest from top Italian sides, but Inter Milan are reluctant to sell to a direct league rival.
