Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to keep hold of striker Danny Ings, despite the reported interest of Sunderland. Ings has found first team action difficult to come by since his move to Burnley.
Injuries and a struggle for first team action have meant that the striker has yet to force his way into Klopp's striking plans on a regular basis and now Ings is considering a move elsewhere.
However, Klopp has told the striker that he will rebuff any move for the player as he is a key part of the German's plans this season.
Sunderland were ready to pay the full amount of Ings' salary over the loan spell.
