Liverpool eying Bundesliga double swoop

Liverpool will make a double swoop of the Bundesliga next summer as they attempt to sign Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund and Mahmoud Dahoud from Borussia Monchengladbach, according to reports.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the Reds will make moves to sign two young stars from the Bundesliga next summer, with bids set to be lodged for Borussia Dortmund’s exciting 17-year-old American attacking midfielder Christian Pulisic being one of the players targeted, and Borussia Monchengladbach’s impressive 20-year-old box to box midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud the other.

Liverpool had an £11 million offer for Pulisic rejected towards the end of the recent summer transfer window, and Dortmund remain determined to hold onto the youngster who has been impressive in his first team cameo appearances to date.

The American teenage is able to play out wide or centrally in attacking midfield areas. Pulisic is an expert dribbler, with tremendous pace and an eye for a goal.

The Reds have also been linked with a move for Gladbach midfielder Dahoud for several months, and will apparently firm up theur interest in the Syria-born Germany under-21 international with a bid next summer.

Dahoud had become a key player for Gladbach, forming the bedrock of the Bundesliga side’s midfield alongside Arsenal new boy Granit Xhaka last season, helping Gladback overcome a poor start to the campaign to finish in the Champions League qualification places.

Dahoud has the physical strength and drive in midfield, coupled with wonderful passing and shooting ability, to play a similar role to Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
