Man Utd target Real Madrid ace

16 September 2016 - 06:43

Manchester United will revive their interest in James Rodriguez in the New Year with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane willing to sell his playmaker. The Colombian international made the difference in the 2-1 win over Sporting in midweek but he still remains a fringe player at the Bernabeu.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Rodriguez, 25, played a part in both goals for the European champions as they came back from a one nil deficit to avoid a shocking defeat at the hands of Sporting in the Champions League opener.

Spanish source Don Balon claims that Zidane have given the green light to offload Rodriguez to the Red Devils provided they match his £60m asking price.

The attacker was the subject of an initial loan approach from Chelsea over the transfer window, but Los Blancos opted to keep hold of their asset in order to finalize his permanent transfer in the future.

Rodriguez joined the Capital outfit from AS Monaco in 2014 following his exploits for Colombia at the World Cup finals in Brazil.
