Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has urged the club's hierarchy to consider a move for Alexis Sanchez in the New Year. The Chilean has stalled on talks over a fresh deal at Arsenal.
The 27-year-old has started the season in bright fashion, and has already netted four goals in six outings in all competitions.
According to The Express, the Citizens will be keeping tabs on the forward's situation in the coming months with a view to a winter approach for his signature.
Sanchez has for now halted negotiations over an extension with the Gunners reluctant to place a buy-out clause, predicted to be around £60m in a new contract.
The attacker previously featured for Guardiola at Barcelona in the 2011/12 season, before the latter moved on to coach Bayern Munich. He has amassed 46 goals for Arsenal since arriving from Camp Nou in 2014.
