French champions Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to make January moves to sign Yaya Toure and Bastian Schweinsteiger from Manchester City and Manchester United respectively.
Les Parisiens have made a shaky start to their title defence and currently find themselves fourth after seven games into the season.
According to The Star, manager Unai Emery is concerned by the lack of experienced heads in midfield with Marco Veratti and Hatem Ben Arfa being among the underperformers.
It is added that the club will seek to recruit Toure and Schweinsteiger, both of whom are deemed surplus to requirements at their respective clubs.
Toure was dropped out of City's Champions League squad for the group stages, and his time at the Etihad could well be up following his agent's verbal attack on Pep Guardiola.
Meanwhile, Schweinsteiger has suffered a similar fate, and he is now spending his time with the reserve side at Old Trafford.
Paris Saint-Germain will make the visit to Bulgaria to take on Ludogorets in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
