Cesc Fabregas has insisted that he did not think of leaving Stamford Bridge despite interest from Real Madrid. The Spain international is currently on the fringes of the first-team at Chelsea.
The former Barcelona man has recently rubbished claims of exiting the West London giants amid speculation surrounding his future.
When asked on his possible link with Los Blancos in the summer, the Spaniard refused to deny contact with the European champions.
"I will not leave Chelsea to go to Madrid," he told reporters. "They may or may not have called, but I did not think about it for a second."
Fabregas also added that he is hopeful of extending his spell with the national side despite being axed from Julen Lopetegui's squad for the World Cup qualifiers earlier this month.
Since arriving from Barcelona in 2014, Fabregas has appeared in over 100 outings for Chelsea in all competitions.
