Everton are prepared to make a winter move for former Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven N'Zonzi. The Frenchman is currently plying his trade with Sevilla.

  • N'Zonzi had been the subject of interest from Leicester City in the summer but he turned down their approach in order to prolong his career at the Europa League champions.

According to The Mirror, the Toffees will make an ambitious bid of their own for the 27-year-old in January with manager Ronald Koeman seeking to add more power in the centre of the park.

Idrissa Gueye has fared well alongside Gareth Barry this term, but with the latter approaching the final years of his career, N'Zonzi has been identified to beef up the midfield.

Everton owner Farhad Moshiri is prepared to offer £20m plus add-ons in an attempt to lure N'Zonzi to Goodison Park.

N'Zonzi amassed 195 appearances in the Premier League during his spells with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City.
