Man Utd in hunt for Tiemoue Bakayoko

Manchester United are set to rival Juventus in the pursuit of AS Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko. Jose Mourinho is keen on bolstering his midfield options in the winter transfer window.

Bakayoko, 22, has amassed over 40 appearances for the Principality outfit since linking up from Rennes in 2014.

According to The Sun, the Special One is looking to add a new anchorman, who could accompany Paul Pogba in the centre of the park.

The likes of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera have been deployed alongside the Frenchman this term, but Mourinho is intent on recruiting a player who could suit his tactics.

Bakayoko has been influential to Monaco's fine start to the new campaign, and this has captured attention from United scouts.

Nevertheless, they will face competition from Serie A holders Juventus, and a whole host of Premier League clubs.
