Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi is set to pen a new long-term contract at the Emirates following his impressive form since the start of the campaign. The Nigerian international has become a regular in the first-team setup this season.
Iwobi, who made his breakthrough in the second half of last term, is set to earn an improved contract just six months prior to inking his existing deal.
According to The Mirror, the Gunners hierarchy are delighted with the way Iwobi has progressed under Arsene Wenger, and are set to reward him with an extension which will earn him wages in excess of £30,000.
Iwobi, who is a full international with Nigeria, has already amassed three assists in all competitions this season, and signs are he could be an exciting prospect for Arsenal in years to come.
