Chelsea to move for Brazilian ace

Chelsea want Anderson in January

Chelsea to move for Brazilian ace

10 October 2016 - 06:54

Chelsea are weighing up a huge bid for Lazio attacker Felipe Anderson. The Brazilian's agent has already held initial discussions with the Blues over a proposed move.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao

  • The 23-year-old was the subject of a £50m offer from Manchester United last year but Lazio were not keen to do business.

The winger's form has since dipped with the Brazilian unsettled at the Italian capital, and this has urged the Biancocelesti to cash in on his services.

According to The Mail, the Blues will make their move to land Anderson's signature in the New Year after his representative met up with Blues' officials last week.

Anderson, who is mainly deployed on the left-wing, could be seen as a possible replacement for Eden Hazard, who has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge in January.

Chelsea have recently proposed to offer Hazard in a swap deal to sign Juventus' Leonardo Bonucci.

Lazio are expected to lower Anderson's price to the £40m range as they seek to sell him at the earliest opportunity.
