AC Milan not after Fabregas

Fabregas does not fit our demands - Montella

AC Milan not after Fabregas

AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella has insisted that his side are not in the running to sign unsettled Cheslea midfielder Cesc Fabregas. The Spain international has made a solitary league start for the Blues this term.

  • The Rossoneri have been strongly associated with the World Cup winner this month after they were speculated to have failed with a summer bid for his signature.

However, Montella has cleared the air by claiming that Fabregas is not the sort of player they are after, and are only interested in finding a suitable replacement for the injured Riccardo Montolivo.

"We're looking for a player who has the characteristics that Montolivo has, who can also operate in a defensive-midfield two," he told the Sun. "Fabregas? He doesn't have those characteristics."

Fabregas has since his career take a downward trend this season with manager Antonio Conte not seeing him as a regular in the centre of the park.
