Wolfsburg interested in Depay

Wolfsburg join Depay chase

14 October 2016 - 10:32

German side Wolfsburg are the latest to express interest in landing Manchester United winger Memphis Depay. The Netherlands international has barely featured in the Premier League this season.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder

  • Depay, 23, has seen his playing time cut short this term with manager Jose Mourinho preferring the likes of Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard ahead of him in the pecking order.

According to The Star, the Wolves have joined AC Milan in the pursuit of the Dutchman, who is clinging onto a bench role at Old Trafford.

United boss Jose Mourinho is said to value Depay highly despite his lack of gametime, and it is most likely that the attacker would depart on a loan deal at best in the New Year.

Depay has had less than 20 minutes of league action since Mourinho took over the reigns in the summer.
